NCDOT Intersection Improvements in Asheville, NC
VIAS is serving as the Prime design engineer, for operational and safety improvements at the intersection of NC 191 and Pond Road in Asheville.
NCDOT Division 2 Pedestrian Ramps
VIAS is performing field reviews and preparing construction plans to ensure hundreds of pedestrian ramps in NCDOT Division 2 are ADA-compliant.

VIAS is Lead Designer for this Carbon Reduction project in Robeson County, NC. Services include project management, rural roadway design, signing & pavement markings, utility coordination, work zone traffic control, contract administration, feasibility studies, ORD-based designs, and risk management.
NCDOT Sliding Rock Pedestrian Facilities
VIAS is serving as Project Manager and Lead Designer for this Highway Safety Project in Division 14. Work includes project management, roadway design, work zone traffic control, signing and pavement markings, and utility coordination.
Maintenance of Traffic Assignments
VIAS has prepared Work Zone Traffic Control (WZTC) Plans for a variety of projects, including for intersection improvement projects in Rowan and Davidson Counties. Additionally, we have performed GESC reviews, constructability reviews, and complex staging of roadway improvement projects.

SCDOT Beaverdam Creek Bridge Replacement
VIAS is providing bridge replacement design services for a 3-span cored slab bridge on S-58 that crosses Beaverdam Creek in Dillon County, SC.
Design-Build
SCDOT US 17A/21 over CSX Emergency Bridge Replacement
As part of the Crowder/TranSystems Design-Build Team, VIAS is performing roadway design, signing, and pavement marking plans. The existing bridge was closed after being damaged by a derailed train. The project was on an accelerated schedule to open before hurricane season.
NCDOT Division 13 Progressive
Design-Build
VIAS is a member of the design team for the progressive design-build project for the northern section of the US 19W reconstruction near Burnsville, Yancey County, NC. Our Team is providing roadway plans, work zone traffic control plans, and signing & delineation plans.

VIAS is providing Public Involvement and LEP (Limited English Proficiency) translation services for projects across North Carolina.
Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI)
City of Durham Pavement Rehabilitation
VIAS is providing CEI services for pavement resurfacing and preservation treatment projects in Durham. The scope of work includes pavement defect identification, documentation of road characteristics and curb ramp conditions, coordinating information to the public, and recommending treatments. Other duties include paving inspection: observing paving operations, pavement repair, utility adjustments, milling, and pavement preservation treatments.
Pavement resurfacing and preservation treatment, Durham, NC
NCDOT Bridge Rehabilitation
VIAS is providing CEI services for this bridge preservation project over NC 16 & CSX Railroad in Charlotte. The scope of work includes deck repairs, latex modified concrete overlay, joint replacements, structural steel repairs, cleaning and painting of existing steel beams, bearing replacements, concrete diaphragm repairs, epoxy coating and sidewalk repairs.
